Playroom Inspiration

My current fun project is my kids’ playroom. I would like it to be a space that encourages imagination, creativity, and fun.

While working on it, I’m gathering inspiration from some pretty spectacular play spaces. These are three playrooms that are currently inspiring me.

Image found on http://www.homedit.com. I love the bright color palette, the chalkboard wall, open floorplan, and organization. This room inspires imagination and play.

This  www.moderncamelot.com playroom is an inviting space for all ages. The gray color scheme with pops of color are both modern and whimsical. The comfortable wingback and bench provide plenty of seating. And the graphic wallpaper juxtaposed against the gray ceiling and walls mutes an otherwise bold feature. My favorite feature are the books on the shelves. They provide both decoration and are inviting. I just love this room.

From one of my favorite blogs, i heart organizing, this playroom is both stylish and functional. The baskets hold tons of toys while also keeping the room organized. DIY cushions were added to create seating and color. The table in the center provides a nice workspace and can easily be moved for the kids to spread out and play on the floor. Great job Jen!

Are you just as inspired by these spaces as I am? What do you consider to be must haves in a good playroom?
